The owners of Kaboodle Kids believe that while corporate responsibility is important, individuals collectively giving out of gratitude can accomplish much more than we, on our own, could ever hope to.
Before children, my husband and I traveled to South Africa on vacation. While there we met a small boy, about 5 yrs of age, with only a ragged pair of cutoff shorts, no shirt or shoes. He badgered us relentlessly to purchase a wood carved animal for $5 US dollars. We finally did cave in and purchase it based on his persistency. Little did I know that the memory of that event would come back to me years later when starting up Kaboodle Kids. As we were thinking what our goals for the company would be, this memory came back to me, as I had a 5 yr old daughter that I would not want in the same situation as that little boy we had met. This is why we have chosen Feed The Children for our donations, as we are able to target our contributions for children in Africa to support.
We have personally determined to give 10% of our sales proceeds to Feed the Children, a U.S. based non-profit that works with disadvantaged and/or disaster affected children worldwide. Amongst other countries, they work in South Africa, where our clothes are manufactured and for which we feel a particular interest, as well as Kenya, where they operate an Abandoned Baby Center whose goals are likewise aligned with our hearts (From the FTC homepage, there is a direct link to the "ABC Babies", which show their hearts are aligned with ours to help these little ones). While we value your business and work hard to delight you, before you spend another dime on our fashions, please take the time to consider those children who might not even have access to the most basic of clothes, let alone the quality fashions we work hard to bring you. Did you know that as little as $80 feeds 10 children for a month? Won’t you please check them out and see if you might be likewise interested in supporting their work?

We are proud to be able to give over $4,100.00 to Feed The Children since inception March 2006!
We also sponsor fund raisers with local schools in the area and are proud to be able to give over $1,700.00 to thirteen schools in South Florida!
